Mark Jude and Church Gallery Statement: A digital artist from San Jose, Chris has always been fascinated with the elusive and ever changing idea of love-- along with the complex world of emotions that surround it. They obsess over deep intimacy, seeking how one’s desire for it can shift their whole life when in pursuit. How does this change the lover or the one loved? Within Heart to Heart Chris brings Leia and Tyshawn’s relationship to life. Through a series of interviews and meetings held in isolation this work solely focuses on one’s view of the other, blending memory with hyperreality to create a glimpse of the world the two have created with one another. To a stranger it’s foreign yet familiar, intrusive but inviting.
